What Is Being Done?
Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act Tribal Grantees
Congress authorized the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act in 2004 to provide federal funds for states, colleges, universities and tribes working to prevent youth suicide.
Best Practices Registry (BPR) and Local Efforts for Suicide Prevention
The purpose of the BPR is to identify, review, and disseminate information about best practices that address specific objectives of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention and the other “local efforts”, to provide AI/AN communities with resources to help develop programs.
